Vitalik Buterin was born in Kolomna, Russia, on January 31, 1994. He started out as a Crypto-activist and co-founded Bitcoin Magazine. His precociousness made him one of the most influential people and the one who contributed most to the construction of crypto.
His parents, Dmitry Buterin and Natalia Amaline, emigrated with him to Canada looking for better working conditions when Vitalik was 6 years old.
In school, Vitalik stood out because of his ability to learn and understand. As a result, he was transferred to a class with other children of high capacities. It was here that he began to develop his skills in mathematics, programming and economics.
However, even with his high IQ, his inability to interact socially prevent him from being accepted by his peers. Which is why he took refuge in real-time online strategy games.
Gamer

Vitalik admits to becoming addicted to the World of Warcraft game between 2007 and 2010. However, gaming indirectly helped with the creation of Ethereum.
It began when the company Blizzard (Makers of World of Warcraft) made changes to the parameters that affected his character “Vitalik” . The update to the game eliminated the Siphon Life spell, which he often used on his sorcerer character.
He couldn’t cope with the fact that regardless of time, money and effort, a unilateral decision could be made and all his work can be taken away. According to Vitalik, this experience gave him exposure to the flaws of a centralized development system.
Blockchain Bitcoin Technology
Buterin came upon Bitcoin in 2011, which offered him a recharged reason throughout everyday life. Later, Buterin got inspired by Bitcoin and discovered that its program worked without physical support. It was the decentralized blockchain that struck him as being quick, and basic so as to shed the burden of concentrated servers.
Seeking after his inclinations, not long after, Buterin co-founded Bitcoin Magazine with Mihai Alisie.
May 2013
During his trip to San Jose, California where he attended a bitcoin-related conference as an official of Bitcoin Magazine. That’s when he realized and witnessed the cryptocurrency community which was alive and kicking, it convinced him to dive into this project.
Later that year, Buterin dropped out of university and spent bitcoins he had to travel around the world to and met with people who were interested in extending the capabilities of the bitcoin network.
October 2013
He visited Israel, where he met individuals behind the projects called ‘CovertCoins’ and ‘MasterCoin.’ Those projects were investigating the utilization of Blockchain for different applications, i.e., issuing tokens on top of Bitcoin, empowering clients to utilize money related agreements, etc.
Despite the fact that they were all utilizing the basic Bitcoin Blockchain, they were doling out new properties to Bitcoin exchanges.
After spectating the projects, Vitalik understood that it’s conceivable to hugely sum up what the conventions were doing by supplanting their usefulness with a Turing-complete programming language.
He introduced his idea to the already existing projects, yet everybody disclosed to him that despite the fact that it’s an intriguing idea, it wasn’t yet the opportune time to execute such great things. Along these lines, he chose to do it without anyone’s help.
Ethereum

In order to resolve the flaws that Vitalik had detected in projects like Bitcoin, he started to develop Ethereum and published his whitepaper in late 2013.
A curiosity is that Buterin was waiting for criticism, evaluations, and comments from people pointing out critical errors in the project’s concept, which he could correct before a future release. However, this never happened, which demonstrates the solidity of its creation in terms of the proposed concept.
The project was announced publicly in January 2014. The core team consisted of, in addition to Vitalik Buterin, Mihai Alisie, Anthony Di Iorio, Charles Hoskinson, Joe Lubin, and Gavin Wood.
Buterin also presented Ethereum on stage at a Bitcoin conference in Miami, and just a few months later the team decided to undertake crowdfunding to finance development.
Through the crowd sale (crowdfunding), during which Ether was sold by Bitcoins, the team raised more than 31,000 bitcoins from the cryptocurrency community, which reached about $ 18 million at the time.
With the money raised, the team established the Ethereum Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Switzerland, charged with overseeing the development of Ethereum’s open-source software.
Vitalik’s and Ethereum’s accomplishment
In 2017, Vitalik Buterin entered the top 10 of the “40 most influential youths under 40,” according to Fortune magazine, and on Forbes magazine’s list of the 600 brightest people under 30. The newspaper Vedomosti recognized him as the professional of the year.
In March 2017, the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance was formed with more than 500 members. Members include recognized companies such as Microsoft, MasterCard, Intel, and Ernst & Young, with a single purpose to further support Etherum development.
Ethereum today
Currently, Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency in the world for its market value. Ethereum is being used by thousands of applications, both by developers and companies around the world, and has gradually created a supreme name in the world of cryptography.
Yet, Ethereum is far from perfect. It still has scalability problems. Which is why the Ethereum Foundation, its developers and collaborators are looking to improve it wiith

Vitalik Buterin
Vitalik Buterin, on the other hand, left Zug for Singapore, where he heads the Asian division of the Ethereum Foundation. He still devotes much of his time to developing Ethereum. However, he hopes that in the future he will be able to move away from currency development a little, to focus on other things related to Ethereum.
Although Vitalik was not alone in the development of Ethereum, it was a very important part of the project. In addition, it was always the representative image, as Steve Jobs was for Apple. A stark contrast to Bitcoin, where there has never been a real figure, because no one knows the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.
Undoubtedly, Vitalik Buterin stands out, both for his intelligence and for his ideas and beliefs in cryptocurrencies.
No one knows what he will develop and achieve in the years to come, but it will come as no surprise that he continues to advance in the cryptocurrency sector, as he has done so far.
